Download TikTok Videos on iPad
iPad downloads TikTok videos exactly the same way as iPhone — through Safari, into your Files app. The bigger screen makes the copy-paste workflow faster. Here's everything you need.
iPad Works Exactly Like iPhone Here
Same steps, same browser, same result. Use Safari. Copy the TikTok link. Paste it in Downloaderi. Tap Download. The file goes to Files → On My iPad → Downloads. The only real difference is the bigger screen — which honestly makes the whole process easier to see, and makes Split View genuinely useful.
Step-by-Step: Download TikTok on iPad
- Open TikTok, find the video you want.
- Tap Share → Copy Link.
- Open Safari and go to downloaderi.com.
- Tap the address bar, paste the link, tap Download.
- On the result screen, tap Download HD or Download MP3.
- The download indicator appears in Safari's toolbar — tap it to watch progress.
- When it's done, the file is in Files → On My iPad → Downloads.
Use Split View — It's Way Faster
iPad's Split View turns this into a nearly seamless workflow. Open TikTok in one half of the screen and Safari with Downloaderi in the other. When you find a video you want:
- Tap Share → Copy Link in TikTok (left side).
- Tap the input in Downloaderi (right side) and paste immediately.
- Tap Download.
No switching apps, no losing your place in TikTok. It's the best way to batch several downloads.
Moving Downloads to Photos on iPad
Same as iPhone — open Files, navigate to Downloads, long-press the video, tap Share → Save Video. Or use iPad's Drag and Drop: open Files on one side and Photos on the other, then drag the video straight from Files into Photos. That second way is faster once you get used to it.
Where Downloads Save — iCloud vs Local
Check your setting at Settings → Safari → Downloads. "On My iPad" stores files locally — fast access, no iCloud quota used. "iCloud Drive" syncs downloads to your Mac and iPhone automatically, which is great if you want files available on all your devices without AirDrop.
For the full download flow details, see the iPhone guide — the steps are nearly identical. For Safari-specific behavior, see the Safari guide.
