Getting the TikTok Link on Windows
If you're watching TikTok in a browser on Windows, just copy the URL straight from the address bar. Or grab it from the TikTok mobile app and send it to yourself via email or a chat app, then paste it on your PC.
Both work. The address bar method is faster when you're already sitting at your desk — takes about 5 seconds total.
Step-by-Step: Download TikTok on Windows
- Open TikTok in your browser or copy the link from the mobile app.
- Copy the video URL (tap Share → Copy Link on mobile, or copy the URL on desktop).
- Open a new tab and go to downloaderi.com.
- Paste the link in the input box and click Download.
- On the result screen, click Download HD for video or Download MP3 for audio.
- Your browser downloads the file. On Chrome and Edge, watch the download bar at the bottom. On Firefox, check the download icon in the toolbar.
- The file saves to your Downloads folder — typically at C:UsersYourNameDownloads.
Changing Where Downloads Save on Windows
By default, files go to your Downloads folder at C:UsersYourNameDownloads. But you can change this. In Chrome: three dots → Settings → Downloads. In Edge: Settings → Downloads. In Firefox: Settings → General → Files and Applications → choose location.
If you're downloading multiple TikToks, honestly — create a dedicated folder in Documents for them and point your browser there. Browser downloads sometimes generate generic file names like "video.mp4" too, so rename them right after downloading so you can actually find them later.
Using Downloaded TikToks in Windows Editors
Standard MP4 — works in everything:
- DaVinci Resolve — File → Import Media. The free version handles TikTok MP4s perfectly.
- CapCut for Desktop — Drag and drop straight into the project.
- Adobe Premiere Pro — Import from Media Browser or drag to the timeline.
- Windows Photos app — For quick trims, the built-in app handles MP4s with no setup at all.
Downloading Multiple TikToks
